Nanyang Piano Ensemble Proudly Presents P.S, I Love You ❤, the charity musical. 100% of profits would be going to our adopted charity, SPCA! P.S, I Love You is an adaptation of the timeless love story of Romeo and Juliet with a delightful musical twist. It would be a play amalgamated with piano performances, giving rise to a wonderful and refreshing musical. P.S, I Love You has an awesome mix of songs, from pop to famous classical pieces. There would be a dedication system, whereby one can dedicate messages to his/her friends or family, along with a choice of 3 songs, and it may be read during our dedication time slot. Dedications can be made via SMS during the concert, on the dedication slip at the reception table before entering the Lecture Theater or on the order form given to all NYJCians. Each ticket costs $5! Join us in this very meaningful event for the best musical experience ever! See you there!

2 major events happening in term 2!

1) Get High! 2010--NYJC Piano Ensemble Mini Concert (:

Date: 21st April 2010, Wednesday, Common Lunch Break
Venue: to be confirmed

Our Get High! Concert in LT2 way back in 2008 was a great success! It was actually full house (: So this year, we'll hold our own NYPE mini concert once again! To spice up the concert, we hope to include a variety of performances, with piano playing as the main performance. Apart from piano solos, we hope there will be piano duet, piano+violin, piano+guitar, piano+ flute, piano+vocal, band... etc performances.

It will be great if there's at least 3 different types of performances (: so if any of you can sing, or you can play other instruments, or you can your friends can play duet tgt.... etc...please please tell us k!

please try to find the partner that you're collaborating with by NEXT TUESDAY if possible! (: & decide on the song that you guys are playing. you may want to bring along your instrument (violin, flute etc...) to practice during next tuesday CCA session!

for others who wish to perform in piano solos, please also choose a song and bring along your music scores to practice next tuesday!

*you may choose to play ANY SONG (: BUT preferably POP SONG if possible!!
*max. duration for each song = 4min

2) Selected performances chosen from the J1 & J2 cohorts
To attract more people to watch our concert, we can probably hold a competition? in which we select the top 3 most inspiring/touching messages/ written by the J1s & J2s to perform in our concert.

Updates on CCA Records

Dear all JC2s,
Ms lim have replied me and she said that she have updated all our cca records into the school cockpit system today. So very soon, you all will be receiving your new cca record. Do not worry(: we have got everything sort out.

Anyway this is for catherine and yinghui:
To prevent this situation from happening again next year, Ms lim have kindly reminded me to inform you all that you need to fill up the "NYJC CCA Involvement Form" everytime after an event is successfully carried out. This form can be found in litespeed, under workbin, titled NYJC CCA Involvement form. Follow the instructions on the form, and fill up the soft copy and send it to Ms lim after every event. I know you all are having alot of events in this term, so do not forget to do this procedure after the completion of each event, lest the events are not recorded in the school system.

UPDATES on the CCA Records

Alright, i've received reply from Mr Yeo already, and he says that the problem is like what i've said- we did not submit our records for last year, and also the fact that many of our events organised are ad-hoc nature and thus difficult to tracked even if the teachers have been informed.

Do not worry, i have already drafted up a document with all our involvement last year and as of this year. In the document, i have indicated each event, the type of classification of the event, and all the names of the members involved and their level of involvement.

In all the events i have classified the levels of involment for most events as:
1. Overall Organiser
2. Asst. Organiser
3. Organiser
4. Organiser Advisor
5. Publicity
6. Logistics
*For some other events, there may be other involvement names given.

For exco, most of you will be put under the organisers and for the rest, i;ve grouped you all under publicity or logistics, so do not be surprised when you see your level of involvement.

I will be forwarding this document to Mr. Yeo and Ms Lim, so you all should be received your records for piano ensemble soon! If there are any changes, I will keep you all informed!

This post is directed to all JC2 piano ensemble members!

DETAILS ON THE CCA RECORDS FOR YEAR 2008 to 2009

Hi, this is jingwen here.

I'm sure many of you would have received your cca records today. However, I am aware that the events that piano ensemble have organised for last year and earlier this year is not reflected in the records. Many of you have expressed concern over this issue as some of the events that were not reflected is crucial for substantiation for your sgc etc. Also, i understand that some of you are very proud members of piano ensemble with only piano as your cca, so it is crucial for the records to reflect the events that we have organised so far.

Firstly, i would like to highlight a few key factors why the events were not reflected:
1. Under the old scheme for SIGs(i.e. no key performance indicator), all unofficial cca as from year 2008 and before, were not required to submit detailed account of the events that were organised. Only the names of members are required to be submitted to the teachers. Hence, this probably explains why it is only reflected on the records as "member for the year 2008 and 2009", that's all, because for last year, we did not submit any detailed accounts of the events we organised.

2. Piano ensemble is not an official cca, hence, the activities that are organised are not considered intra-college events as they are only interest sought events, therefore the records are not reflected. If this is the reason, that i have to apologize to all of you that i cant get any events reflected on the records, but i'll discuss this issue with mr yeo and try to make sure this isnt the situation.

With regards to this issue, i will contact mr yeo asap and get back to you all with a satisfactory reply. Meanwhile, please DO NOT sign your cca records form and if need be, tell any teachers concerned that your cca leader is currently investigating the issue and making the relevant arrangements with the respective teachers-in-charge. There is no need for you to indicate on your paper what events that were missed out, as i will be doing this on behalf for all of you.

Also, i'm sure jiawei have also reminded all of you to check the blog today for updates on this issue. Hence, please do check back on the blog regularly as i will be posting anything about this issue on the blog. We will not be sending out any further sms to remind you all to check the blog.

Btw, i've checked with my other friends in other SIGs that their events are also not reflected as well, so do not worry too much(:

AND, if any of you received the cca records and discoverd that you were not recognised as a piano ensemble member for the years 2008 to 2009 or your exco position not reflected etc., do tag on the tagboard or sms directly. This is urgent as the member and exco positions should have been reflected on the records already.

Are all of you enjoying your holidays? Well, treasure the time now because Piano Ensemble will have 3 events coming up in term 3, and I need a lot of your commitment!

1. Talent Time @ Drum's Stage Area

This event will be held in the library on 21st July. It will only occupy the first half an hour of the common lunch break, with the Pugilistic Club performing first, follow by Piano Ensemble, then Guitar Ensemble. We are required to perform for 10 minutes only, therefore I shall offer this great opportunity to the beginners! ( I am aware that some of the beginners are able to play simple songs, but not yet have the chance to perform.) Come on! I need beginners to volunteer for this. Msg me if you want to participate.... 2. Red Cross 60th Anniversary Celebration

This is a public event at East Coast Park on 1st August ( Saturday ). The details are not confirmed yet, but do not worry because transportation and food will confirmed be provided on that day. Piano ensemble will be performing for approximately 15 minutes to 30 minutes. For this event, i will need at least 5 people who know how to play piano to participate.

3. Youth For Causes Concert

This will be quite a grand event that will take place on 14th August, 7.30pm to 9.30 pm in our school, Nanyang JC lecture theatre 4. The ticket price for this concert is $7, but for those who are performing, you get to watch the entire concert for free! In addition, there will be performers from various schools like SP, NYP, NP, AJC, TJC and HCJC. The theme for this concert is 'Mirage. Montage. Life'. We are required to perform songs that are in conjunction with the theme. This is definitely a great opportunity to showcase your talent in piano, so do not hesitate and volunteer for this event! For your information, I need 3 people for this concert and I would prefer people with grades to take part in this.

* People with grades ( or experienced in keyboard) are required to take part in either the 2nd or 3rd event.
* Everyone is free to play any song that you like (except for the 3rd event)
* First come, first serve! So message me ASAP. I need an answer by this Sunday!

Hi all(:

SIG Week ended on a high note today, and i'm sure most of you have enjoyed yourselves immensely either in performing, watching the performance or going around to look at the activities organised by the other SIG groups! Again, i do hope more of you have gained more valuable experience in piano playing, especially in the clavinova, which you all might be using again for other events. I understand that the sound system today was rather sub-standard today but i think all of you still played really well and smoothly today and i can see that most of you were relaxed and all!

Anyway, i've received positive feedbacks from our teacher-in-charge, Ms Lim that the our event was quite successful.We really managed to drag almost all the people to our booth and guitar ensemble's booth as well! So, maybe something fruit for thought for you all might be that you all might want to think of some of this very "interactive" games for your next "booth activity", which i forsee is CCA Bazaar next year.

Also, i would like to express my sincere gratitude to the 31st Student Council, for the renting of the connect and contact point as well as in our publicity process, the AVA, for their very "crucial" help in our sound system, and photog for their enthusiastic phototaking today throughout the 1.5 hrs(:. And finally, all the other SIGs as well, for being very co-operative today to ensure that our event is able to carry out smoothly!

Anyway, the JC2 really love the gifts you all gave us today alot! and we do really appreciate what you all have organised for us this 2 weeks! We can see that you all put in alot of effort, and i would hereby like to praise you all for that very enthusiastic spirit and i hope you all can continue this fiery passion for the cca! Anyway i think alot of the members turned up today for the event, so i'm very pleased with all of you!(:

Finally, do rmb to collate the accounts for our expenses for the SIG Week event and rmb to send to the teachers so that we can claim the money! and rmb to take down the very beautiful posters you all have made and keep them for future uses!

Lastly and finally the last(i'm sure you all are probably groaning now), the JC2 like to congratulate all the JC1s for the smooth taking over of the leadership duties of the cca and also like to congratulate you all for your 1st very successful event that is planned by all of you! Hope you all gained alot of experience in organising events(: And a warm thanks to Ying Hui, Joshua, Verity, the main i/cs for this event, for your very enthusiatic and visionary attitude in leading all your j1s for this event! and also of course, all the new exco! which i'm really surprised to see you all displaying your leadership skills in handling this event almost immediately after you all took over, namely, catherine, yongjia, vichra, shenglin, cheri, boonhao and shimin(:

This is an update to the events on SIG Week.

Due to very minimal amount of registrations for the Sight-playing workshop and the very enthusiastic votings for the performance, the Sight Playing Workshop is cancelled. This is due to considerations over the fact that if the ppl who can play piano do not sign up, the beginners won't come either. Also, we observed that the general school population is mostly more keen in watching the performance, as indicated by their enthusiasm in voting for the songs as compared to attending workshops on how to sight play.

Not to worry, since the JC2 are not involved in the sight playing workshop, we will now help out at the booth at the atrium. Do note that the heavy demand for atrium by all the SIGs has now led to allocation of specified areas at the atrium for each cca. Not to worry, we have been allocated enough area to hold both a booth as well as a performance. For more details, pls contact either me, putri, yinghui or catherine.

Lastly, I would like to reiterate again that this event is compulsory for all members attend unless you have a valid reason not to do so, which will be approved on a case-by-case basis. Do make sure you come down to atrium punctually on tuesday and carry out your duties as appointed of you by the exco.

Hi all,

I have looked through the voting sheet for the performance that is passed through the every class and i do realised that there is actually very little pieces:( I'm aware that some of you are not confident and have withdrawn from the performance. Regarding this, i would like to urge all of you, that includes everyone(performers and non-performers) to build up a greater confidence! It is ok to make some mistakes during the performance, as it is comes as an experience and as you perform more, you become better! The only way to improve is to perform, perform and perform more!(that's y u all join piano ensemble right?)

Taking yinghui as an example, as you all know she participated as a performer during the college day, and she performed in front of all the JC2s as well as past seniors and teachers. During the performance, she did make some mistakes, but i'm sure yinghui has taken it as an experience and has improved into a better performer. Besides, i have received alot of feedback from my JC2 friends that both shenglin and yinghui have performed very well during college day(they felt really pity that shenglin did get to play all his pieces:(, and my classmates are even voting for yinghui to play the song she played during college day again for the sig week performance!

So here i am again to urge all of you to make full use of all the performing chances you have these 2 years of your JC life to maximise your potential in playing the piano!

Anyway, here is a reminder:
All piano ensemble members are expected to attend either of the events, sight playing workshop at LT2 or the performance at atrium on 12 may 2009. It is considered as part of cca meeting time and you are expected to attend and support your peers unless you have a valid reason not to do so.

Anyway, another side congratulatory to our valued member Benjamin Chua(0928), who is now officially elected as the President of Student Council! Congratulations, and i hope piano ensemble can work closely with student council for this 2 years for more event opportunities, and SIG rights! (haha, i do hope you still remember). And don't forget, the 31st Student Council helped us really alot during our time, so when you all need help in any issues or welfare stuff, do approach benjamin or the councillors for their advice! They are always willing to help in the best of their abilities! Anyway, benjamin, is it possible to work out with the other councillors to see if we can perform during the 32nd Council Investiture? Cos last year, we actually performed for the 31st Council Investiture.

To the JC2 members, cca has officially ended for us, and from Week 6 onwards, cca meetings are optional for all of you. But of course, the exco will still be coming back all the way till Week8 to provide support and help to all of you(:

There will be a cca meeting on this tuesday 5pm at hall. During this meeting we will be carrying out:

1. Beginner Class(JC1)
Time: 5pm to 6pm

We will be resuming the beginner classes for JC1. All the JC1 pairs whom we have assigned you topics to teach, please be ready to teach the beginners on tuesday. We will be asking you to go up one by one to teach your assigned topic. Putri and I will be sitting around and help you on the way and give you comments.

2. College Day Performance short rehearsal for Sheng Lin and Ying Hui
Time: anytime

Pls get ready to play your piece for us to hear(: haha. Also, do prepare a few more songs besides those songs confirmed for performance because the teachers say they might need piano ensemble to play more pieces(: And Sheng Lin, please send mi your short description for your song by monday(i.e. TMR!) cos i need to send it to the teachers.

3. Official Handing over of duties
Time: 6pm to 6.30pm
On tuesday, we will be proceeding to the final stage of our handover process, which is the official handing over of duties to the new incoming exco. We will be announcing the confirmed names of the exco and from tuesday onwards, you all will start leading piano ensemble for every cca meetings!
To the outgoing exco, please bring your items that you need to handover to the JC1 exco, e.g. banners, attendance sheet etc.

4. To the new elected exco, please stay back from 6.30pm to 6.45 pm for a short briefing on what you all need to do.

IMPORTANT POST FOR JC1!

The interview is over! and I must thank all of you for putting so much effort in making your resumes! I've looked through most of them and I must say i see really alot of potential ideas and insightful stuff that I think all of you can seat down and discuss one day and see how u all can make these ideas become reality.

back to announcement proper:

For next week, Term 2 Week 4, Tuesday, 12pm to 1pm at hall, we will be moving on to the 2nd and 3rd stage of the handover process, which is the campaign speech and the voting process. Each and every member will be given 1min(max. 2 min) to convince your fellow peers why you are deserving of your desired post. As there are many J1, there is limited time and we seek all of your cooperation not to exceed the allocated time. Pls make full use of this week to prepare your speech. Remember, it is important to convince your fellow peers, not only the exco!

After the speech, the last 10-15min of the cca meeting will be used to carry out voting process. All of you will be voting who you desire to be the nominee for each post. So start thinking of potential people already! Note: You are allowed to vote for yourself. On the day, the exco will also announce to you some of the potential candidates we have in mind for each post, to give you all some sort of recommendation for your voting. However, you are not limited to comply totally in what is being recommended to you.

After all this, the exco will meet again to deliberate on the final decision of the most suitable candidate for each post. The results of the election will be announced on another week(date not confirmed).

Anyway, to inform all of you, one of our member, Cheri(: is absent for the interview today as she is hospitalised. However, she have enthusiastically contacted us and expressed eagerness to take part in the election of the exco. Hence, we have decided that we'll ask Cheri to send us her resume, which we will look throgh and deliberate, and try to organise another interview for her if possible. However, she told us that she may not be able to attend the session next week, so we'll be asking Cheri to send us her speech and the exco will help her make her speech on her behalf.

In lieu of this, I hope all of you can give Cheri a chance to take part in the election! And lets all wish Cheri to have a fast recovery!(:

This post is with regards to some doubts raised during today's cca meeting(24/3/09) and SIG Day.

Firstly, some JC1s have expressed their doubts whether or not they have to answer all the questions posted on the resume guide, and the fact that they do not really know how to answer certain questions. With regards to this, we advise you to treat this document as a guide to help you in your formulation of your resume and not as a strict set of questions you have to adhere to. Answer the questions in the guide to your best abilities and exercise flexibility in making your resume! For questions that looks "awkward to you", you might want to consider trying to answer them in the way u think it should be, do exercise some creativity! I hope this helps alot to all of you(:

Secondly, a large amount of you commented that you were unaware of what is our vision and our mission as mentioned in the resume guide. The answers to these questions were provided to you quite some time ago, both in verbal dissemination and also in certain documents that we have sent to you all previously. (have fun searching!(: However, even if you don't know, you can always answer it as how you think our vision and mission should be and why do you think this suits our cca best and helps to spread the awareness of our cca etc.

NOTE: All Members are required to go through the interview!, irregardless of external commitments that result in your inability to be voted in the exco. The rationale is that the exco values your judgement,hopes and also your take on your fellow peers.

Thirdly, I would like to introduce to you a few more members who have joined our cca! The are:
Catherine and Jin Ming! Please help them catch up with the affairs in our cca, and the both of you, complete your resumes asap by T2Wk3! I'm sure you do not want to be void of the chance to be in the exco!

Fourth, for the SIG Day performance which will pioneered by J1, i'm pleased to announce to you all that some of you have eagerly volunteered as in-charges for this event. They are:

They will be leading you all through the planning and the execution of these events. Do show them your full support and co-operate when they dedicate tasks to you! DETAILS OF THE ACTIVITIES PROPOSED FOR SIG DAY

after serious discussion, the exco have proposed 2 sets activities that we are going to organise and execute simultaneously during the SIG day. They are:

1. Sight Playing Workshop
i/c: Jing Wen and Aloysius
The Sight playing workshop is open to the whole school and we will be sending out sign up sheets to take note of the confirmed audience.
Venue: LT2(tentative)

2. Performance by JC1 members
i/c: Jiawei(supervisor), and some JC1 members(to be decided by jiawei)
Venue: Atrium(tentative)
Basically, this is a backup plan if the sight playing workshop doesnt turn out very well. While the JC2s are carrying out the workshop in LT2, JC1 will be performing pieces at the atrium to catch the attention of the school. People that are not involved in the performance will act as ushers to encourage the audience watching to go to LT2 for the workshop.
This is a very good opportunity for JC1 as it is good to spruce up your profile! For people who havent perform during get high, i strongly encourage you to perform this time! However, existing jc1 members can perform. But do note that many jc2 will not be performing this time.
This is also the time for you all(JC1) to display your leadership as we will be dedicating the organising process of this activity all to you! of course, you will be under the supervision of our very experienced and caring exco member, JIAWEI!(: She will guide you along and will be helping us to spot potential future exco candidates!

That's about it, and we'll will be explaining it more to you during the meeting.

PLAN FOR SIG DAY(Term 2 Common lunch)

As i have already mentioned to you all in the previous meeting, we have to organise some thing for the SIG Day to promote ourselves to the school. As we have already organised and executed the performance recently, i'm sure most of us are tired and would not want to perform again. Besides, there would be alot of other IG who'll be putting up performance, so it'll be kind of boring and no creativity.

So after a discussion among the exco, we decided to organise 2 workshop simultaneously which will take place at 2 LTs.

They are:
1. Beginner Class Workshop for absolute beginners
This workshop will be targeted at the school population who have no knowledge how to play the piano but have a strong interest in music.
I/C: Jing Wen and Putri?(not confirmed)

2. Sight Playing Workshop for intermediate players
This workshop is targeted at the rest of the school who already knew how to play the piano but want to gain some additional knowledge and techniques in mastering an area which the exco feel many abled piano players are weak at.
I/C: Aloysius and JiaWei?(not confirmed)

So those in-charge ppl, i nid you all the write out your proposal for the workshop, like wad to teach, your set of lecture notes, venue, wad equipment you nid etc. Please do during the holidays and try to complete it asap.
To the all members, all of you are supposed to help out in this event in one way or the other. We'll be engaging some of you all in logistics help, ushering, assistants etc. The rest of you that are not involved in any duties are still expected to attend 1 of the workshop as it well, falls on one of our cca days and attendance is compulsory.

Hello everyone!

Get High! is over! and i'm sure many of you enjoyed yourselves during the event! It was a superb success and as you all can see it, it was FULL HOUSE!! woah!

Firstly, I would like to thank my exco, for putting all their meticulous effort in planning the event. To Jia Wei especially, who was the most busy of all of us confirming all the pieces for the performance, and even getting the tee-shirts for all the j1s! To putri as well, who gave us all your support and encouragement and valuable improvements such that we look so high class today!!

Next to the performers! I'm sure most of you enjoyed yourselves on stage as i can see all of you all playing with pride and i could really feel the essence in all your pieces! Through this performance, i hope all of you have gain insight into how it feels like performing on stage and i hope this can help you all to build up in your confidence for the rest of the performances we'll be expecting.

To boonhao and wanxian who were the emcees, though you guys were last minute, i could see that the both of you all have really put in your effort in sprucing up the atmosphere of the audience and taking care to pronounce all our names correctly!

To the ushers, thank you for your endurance in standing through out the performance and guiding the audience! I hope you enjoyed yourselves!

To all the members, thank you for attending this event and showing moral support for all the performers! I hope this enthusiasm in all of you can continue to rock on, and to the juniors, to continue our pride and glory!

Anyway for now, JC1s, please spend your holidays in writing your quality resumes, and those that i've talked to you all about the taking of the beginner class thing, confirm your pair and tell us next cca session.

JC2s, there's still a one last event the SIG day in term 2 which will be our last event. Before this, we'll be spending our time plannning for this and continuing our beginner class and hand-holding period for the JC1 and the handover process as well.

To all performers for the Get High event,

Please rush down from your lessons sharply at 12pm to LT2 straight away! You might want to ask your teacher to let you off 5 minutes early so you wont be late! Practise your piece diligently for this few days and practise the bowing procedure we have been teaching you! Just a gentle reminder: When you name is called, you will proceed to the piano and take a polite bow at the audience and pause for a while before sitting down on the piano. While the emcee is reading out your introduction, poise yourself in an elegant and comfortable manner and calm yourself down! When the emcee stops talking, you may begin with your performance. After you finish playing, remember to bow and pause a while(for phototaking purposes) before proceeding back to your seat! Dont forget to do any of these procedures! Remember there are VIPs(teachers) who will be watching our performance and we certainly want to portray ourselves as professional performers! And, remember to sit in the order and stay back after the whole event for phototaking! And, JC2 performers, please remember to bring your tee-shirt and change into it before the performance.

To other members,
You are suppossed to turn up for the performance as audience or helpers(which we will inform you on the day itself) unless you have an official reason as the performance itself falls on our cca meeting time. Recall, Week B tuesdays 12pm to 1pm. Attendance will be taken, and remember, under the Key Performance Indicator, i'm sure i dont nid to explain more. Now, during the performance you will be sitting in as audience, behind the performers. When the audience are streaming into the LT, you are expected to guide them around and urge them to settle down asap. After the whole event is over, please stay back for phototaking and some important announcements.

To JC2 Exco,
WE will be leaving class at 11am to take our lunch, i.e. no financial literacy talk for us(: Whee! then, we'll be going to LT2 to setup the stuffs and get everything ready for the performance to start on time. And if you have any announcements to make, remember them and we'll be making them after the event.

if you are a clean freak (or anything else) and would like your shirt before tuesday, sms me by sunday night so that i can bring your shirt for you on monday and you can send it to the laundry (or anywhere else). but please remember to bring back on tuesday.

btw, gentle reminder for all piano ensem members: you need to be present during the concert so fly down to LT2 straight after your lesson, and we'll get started at 12pm. DRAG ALL YOUR FRIENDS ALONG AS WELL! :)

To the performers who are performing in the Get High! Programme,

We'll be having a dry run tomorrow 3pm at LT2.

I'm aware that most JC1 members are released very early. However, as it is compulsory for all JC2 to witness the "A" Level results release as well as some JC2 have to collect their H1 Mother Tongue results, most of us will only be free after 3pm.

Hence, the rehearsal will start at 3pm. Please be punctual. If you have lessons later than this, come after your lessons.

In this session, we'll be executing:

Hi Everyone, there will be a cca meeting on 2 December 2008 (Tuesday) in the morning. Time is yet to be confirmed. It will be in Music Rm1 as usual. Attendance is compulsory.

Also, all members are to prepare a piece to be played on that day. This piece will be used for performance on the NY Get High Programme in February next year.

Hi everyone, jing wen here(:

i'm so glad that the piano competition is now finally over, after 2days of continuous rain, n getting up early. haha.

anyway, it's a high time we start to organise and plan new activities, n i tink this is a good platform for us to do online discussion.(:

Here's a brief summary of events that we have brainstormed:
1) Get High! Programme
2) CCA bazaar
3) performance tie-ups with other performing groups*

For the Get High! programme, fyi, is a platform during common lunch break that let cca groups showcase their talents. I've already obtained the form from the student council, so its jus now filling up work now. First, we have to set a date, which i proposed it to be somewhere near early february, after the new batch of j1's have entered. This is so ensured that we can go thru our pieces during the januruary period, n probably have rehearsals. We also need to decide a venue, e.g. LT2, Hall, etc. So yeah, i nid suggestions, cos we nid to have a decent place for us to attract large volumes of crowds rite?
Furthermore, i need all of you to confirm and reply mi the pieces u are going to play, n it's best if we can split evenly into solo category and duet category. so those of u who already have 4hands pieces now in practice, please practise them diligently(: anyway, i've also liased with the winners of the piano comp winners who have most of them, gladly accepted to help us out as well.

The CCA bazaar thing is not confirmed yet, cos i'm not informed of the time and everything. but all of u can start brainstorming on the things we are going to prepare, like event timeline, souvenirs, advertising strategies etc.

for the performance tie-ups, chior's confirmed not having concert next year. so now is left with band n guzheng. so ya, it'll be good if u have frens in your class in this groups so u can help us liase with them?

Also, jus a small thought, do uall think we shuld organise a piano comp next year again? but dis time is for the new j1's? so we can probably boost our recruitment n seek talents?

We'll continue to discuss the prizes for the inter-house piano comp from 4.30 to 5.00pm n begin beginner's class at 5pm. All beginners, pls try to make it as punctual as possible at 5pm.

For beginner's class we'll be doing:
1. recap on the piece "A Sea otter's snack" that is taught by Aloysius last week.
2. Learning of a new piece/ Theory Lessons i.e. Lecture Set 2.
