CCA Meeting on 29July2008 (Tuesday)
We'll continue to discuss the prizes for the inter-house piano comp from 4.30 to 5.00pm n begin beginner's class at 5pm. All beginners, pls try to make it as punctual as possible at 5pm.
For beginner's class we'll be doing:
1. recap on the piece "A Sea otter's snack" that is taught by Aloysius last week.
2. Learning of a new piece/ Theory Lessons i.e. Lecture Set 2.
also, pls take note, there will be a small quiz/test next week , on the stuff that is taught by yanyu. pls prepare for it by reading up the notes that were given out. I've also prepared a lecture set 2 that will be given to u all for theory lessons this week or next week depends.

VIVACE Piano Ensemble Competition 2008 Preliminary Round
hi all,
the piano ensemble competition preliminary round will be held this satruday 19july2008 at NJC Music Room 1 at 8am.
The participating members are:
1. Wang Lu
2.Xiu Wen
Good Luck to both of you! must do us proud!
P.S. I think supporters are not allowed for this preliminary round becos the last time i went to njc music room, it's a small dingy room cramped wif 1 piano. so yah, i tink it's more of an audition . then again, all the best to wang lu and xiuwen!
The Finals of this competition will be held at 26july2008(saturday) at NJC. Details of venue and time will be updated at a later date. interested audience, please sms mi.

VIVACE 08 PIANO ENSEMBLE COMPETITION
- jointly organized by Raffles, Temasek and National Junior Colleges
- inter-jc
- each individual can only perform for one item
- competitors are required to use original scores. no photocopies are permitted.
- of each performance should last between 4—12 minutes
categories
1. duet (4 hands)
2. duo (2 pianos)
3. trio (6 hands)
4. quartet (2 pianos)
Fees
all fees must be paid in SGD
$10.00- Single Piano Duet/Trio (four hands, six hands)
$20.00- Double Piano (1—2 pianists per piano)
The Registration Fee is neither refundable nor transferable
the preliminary round for this competition is on the 19th of july and the finals on 26th july. apologies for putting up this notice so late as we only received the email not long ago. you have to submit the registration form together with the choice of the piece you are playing hence have to decide fast. grab your partners and contact me asap!

hi all(: this post is regarding the farewell for seniors on the 8 JULY 2008(tuesday).
it will be held at 5pm at music room 1. refreshments are provided(:
to all j1s, pls try to make it for this session and prepare anything that u wan to tell/give to the seniors.
to all j2s, pls rmb to prepare a piece for the "piano duel" as was tip-offed to u all on the previous post. try not to use very long pieces, i.e. no exceeding of 5min.
the dismissal time for this event is 6.45pm.
