Updates on CCA Records
Dear all JC2s,
Ms lim have replied me and she said that she have updated all our cca records into the school cockpit system today. So very soon, you all will be receiving your new cca record. Do not worry(: we have got everything sort out.
Anyway this is for catherine and yinghui:
To prevent this situation from happening again next year, Ms lim have kindly reminded me to inform you all that you need to fill up the "NYJC CCA Involvement Form" everytime after an event is successfully carried out. This form can be found in litespeed, under workbin, titled NYJC CCA Involvement form. Follow the instructions on the form, and fill up the soft copy and send it to Ms lim after every event. I know you all are having alot of events in this term, so do not forget to do this procedure after the completion of each event, lest the events are not recorded in the school system.

UPDATES on the CCA Records
Alright, i've received reply from Mr Yeo already, and he says that the problem is like what i've said- we did not submit our records for last year, and also the fact that many of our events organised are ad-hoc nature and thus difficult to tracked even if the teachers have been informed.
Do not worry, i have already drafted up a document with all our involvement last year and as of this year. In the document, i have indicated each event, the type of classification of the event, and all the names of the members involved and their level of involvement.
In all the events i have classified the levels of involment for most events as:
1. Overall Organiser
2. Asst. Organiser
3. Organiser
4. Organiser Advisor
5. Publicity
6. Logistics
*For some other events, there may be other involvement names given.
For exco, most of you will be put under the organisers and for the rest, i;ve grouped you all under publicity or logistics, so do not be surprised when you see your level of involvement.
I will be forwarding this document to Mr. Yeo and Ms Lim, so you all should be received your records for piano ensemble soon! If there are any changes, I will keep you all informed!

DETAILS ON THE CCA RECORDS FOR YEAR 2008 to 2009
Hi, this is jingwen here.
I'm sure many of you would have received your cca records today. However, I am aware that the events that piano ensemble have organised for last year and earlier this year is not reflected in the records. Many of you have expressed concern over this issue as some of the events that were not reflected is crucial for substantiation for your sgc etc. Also, i understand that some of you are very proud members of piano ensemble with only piano as your cca, so it is crucial for the records to reflect the events that we have organised so far.
Firstly, i would like to highlight a few key factors why the events were not reflected:
1. Under the old scheme for SIGs(i.e. no key performance indicator), all unofficial cca as from year 2008 and before, were not required to submit detailed account of the events that were organised. Only the names of members are required to be submitted to the teachers. Hence, this probably explains why it is only reflected on the records as "member for the year 2008 and 2009", that's all, because for last year, we did not submit any detailed accounts of the events we organised.
2. Piano ensemble is not an official cca, hence, the activities that are organised are not considered intra-college events as they are only interest sought events, therefore the records are not reflected. If this is the reason, that i have to apologize to all of you that i cant get any events reflected on the records, but i'll discuss this issue with mr yeo and try to make sure this isnt the situation.
With regards to this issue, i will contact mr yeo asap and get back to you all with a satisfactory reply. Meanwhile, please DO NOT sign your cca records form and if need be, tell any teachers concerned that your cca leader is currently investigating the issue and making the relevant arrangements with the respective teachers-in-charge. There is no need for you to indicate on your paper what events that were missed out, as i will be doing this on behalf for all of you.
Also, i'm sure jiawei have also reminded all of you to check the blog today for updates on this issue. Hence, please do check back on the blog regularly as i will be posting anything about this issue on the blog. We will not be sending out any further sms to remind you all to check the blog.
Btw, i've checked with my other friends in other SIGs that their events are also not reflected as well, so do not worry too much(:
AND, if any of you received the cca records and discoverd that you were not recognised as a piano ensemble member for the years 2008 to 2009 or your exco position not reflected etc., do tag on the tagboard or sms directly. This is urgent as the member and exco positions should have been reflected on the records already.
